I am currently in my final year of undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering and Biological Sciences at Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, India. I have worked on several simulation projects in fluid-flow, heat transfer, fluid-particle interaction, and coupled fluid-flow heat-transfer problems such as buoyancy-driven flow. Until I have only used the finite element method in all my simulations. My tools of choice are FreeFEM++ and Fenics (a FEM library that can be used via the Python programming language). I believe in using free (open-source) software. Also, I try to understand the physics and numerical methods with full mathematical rigor, which I have started and which I hope to advance through a graduate program in Mechanical Engineering / applied mathematics.
